5.4-magnitude quake hits Kermadec Islands, New Zealand

BEIJING: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 0259 GMT on Thursday, the US Geological Survey said.

According to Xinhua, the epicentre, with a depth of 38.7 km, was initially determined to be at 29.92 degrees south latitude and 177.49 degrees west longitude. – Bernama
