  • The adorable brown-and-white pooch is sat on top of a bed alongside his owners
  • He then launches himself paws first at the device in an attempt to stop it buzzing

An adorable dog was caught on camera enthusiastically turning off his owner’s phone alarm.

The footage was recorded at the family’s home in Pennsylvania, America.

In the video, the Miniature Australian Shepherd dog, called Winston, is sat on top of a bed alongside his owners.

The phone that has been placed in front of him then begins to buzz as the alarm sounds and Winston tilts his head inquisitively as he focuses on the device.

The adorable pup rearranges both of his paws as he nervously edges closer toward it.

He then moves abruptly to pick up a toy that has been resting in front of him which he thinks could be the source of the noise.

But the sound continues and the brown-and-white pooch stares fixedly again at the phone with the chew still hanging out of his mouth.

The five-month-old then seems to finally identify the actual source of the noise and launches himself paws first at the phone.

Winston scrabbles his claws frantically at the screen as they tap at the glass.

He manages to turn the alarm off as his owners, Nick and Melissa, look on and giggle at his achievement.
