Alex Rodriguez shares footage of his proposal to Jennifer Lopez as he reflects on ‘amazing’ 2019

They had a year to remember, pledging to blend their families into one.

And Alex Rodriguex reflected on an ‘amazing’ 2019 as he shared footage of his proposal to fiancee Jennifer Lopez.

Posting a video to YouTube and Instagram, he wrote: ‘What an amazing year it has been! As 2019 winds down, I am feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed.

‘Looking back on these moments, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear. I am so lucky to be able to spend my life with those I love, doing what I love,’ he added. ‘Thank you all for following me around on this wonderful journey. Here’s to continued success and happiness in 2020!!!’

The video showed his March beachside proposal, along with new clips of the two.

One showed the joyful pair sitting beside one another after the engagement, with J Lo, 50, reflecting that she had no idea anything ‘out of the ordinary’ was going to happen. 

‘There was no indication, and today you woke up and you were so happy and dancing and joking around and I was like, ‘Whatever you’re on, can I have some of that?”.

She said even though he had organised an early dinner: ‘It didn’t stick out to me.’ 

There were also clips from Thanksgiving, as the two toasted their children, his daughters Natasha, 15, and Ella, 11, and her twins Emme and Max, 11.

And we saw inside J Lo’s birthday, when A Rod toasted her with the sweet words: ‘It’s not the millions of people who see you live, but the billions of people that you touch every day.  And you’re only at halftime, baby.

‘I love you, you’re my wife, you’re the most beautiful thing in the world and I couldn’t be more proud of you. I love you.’

He ended his toast with a kiss.
