Amanda Holden steps out in a low-key look

She has called out ‘double standards’ after her glamorous outfits on Britain’s Got Talent have sparked Ofcom complaints. 

And Amanda Holden cut a low-key look on Friday in a beige cardigan with pretty bow buttons layered over a white t-shirt as she left Global Radio studios in London. 

The judge, 49, looked radiant in the demure ensemble which she paired with ripped denim jeans and white trainers ahead of the Britains’ Got Talent final on Saturday. 

The beauty styled her look with a £1,950 Dior black saddle bag over her shoulder and added tortoiseshell shades for her Heart Breakfast show with Jamie Theakston. 

She styled her caramel tresses in loose waves over her shoulders and added a hint of makeup to accentuate her pretty features. 

Amanda added small diamante hoop earrings and opted for a dark manicure as she sauntered along the pavement. 

It comes after the TV star hit back at what she has called double standards, pointing out that her BGT co-star Alesha Dixon also wears daring dresses on BGT, but does not receive the same level of criticism. 

Speaking on Thursday’s Loose Women, Amanda was asked if she thought the disparity in complaints directed at her and Alesha, 42, was ‘ageism’.  

She was asked by the Loose Women about her fashion choices, and if she is of the same mind of actress Jane Fonda that you can wear the same clothes as you did 30 years ago?

‘If I look anything like that in my eighties I will be thrilled,’ Amanda admitted.  

‘Fashion doesn’t have an age limit and it drives me mad when these nearly 50-year-old boobs get air time and I’m sitting there next to Alesha who is ten years younger and wears loads of things down to there,’ she pointed out.

Amanda was adamant it was not down to ageism though, explaining: ‘I think they just think it’s improper overall, if I was in my twenties they’d still be saying it.’  

‘I just keep thinking I’m going to be a big old number next year and these things will start to droop and then hopefully they will just drop off. So I’ve just got to make the most of it.’ 

The TV judge ensured all eyes were on her once more when she taped the fifth semi-final of BGT last weekend in a head-turning gown with a sheer black lace bustier. 

Amanda’s outfit sparked 236 Ofcom complaints and led viewers to question whether she had suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the show.  

The week prior, she wore a plunging navy gown with a daring thigh-high split and a built in underwire on the bust which sparked another flurry of complaints.
