Anderson Cooper’s infant son Wyatt makes virtual appearance during 2020 CNN Heroes… as co-host Kelly Ripa gushes over the boy: ‘He is gorgeous and perfect’

Anderson Cooper has shared some adorable images of his now seven-month-old son Wyatt on social media, with the last being back in September. 

On Sunday night, December 13, the acclaimed news anchor hosted the 2020 CNN Heroes with longtime friend and colleague Kelly Ripa. 

And during the broadcast, little Wyatt, made an adorable virtual appearance, which sent the Live With Kelly And Ryan co-host into baby-crush mode.

‘There’s Wyatt!’ Ripa chimed-in, as a clip of the boy, who was wearing a CNN Heroes onesie, played in the background.  

‘He is the most beautiful baby ever,’ she added, while admiring the big beaming smile on his face in the video.

‘He is gorgeous and perfect and I love watching you become a dad. It’s been my favorite thing this year.’

While soaking in the clip of his son, the longtime CNN anchor proudly declared: ‘He’s so cute.’

Cooper, 53, surprised fans when he announced that he quietly welcomed son Wyatt back in late April. 

He is raising his boy with his best friend, Benjamin Maisani, who also happens to be his ex-boyfriend. 

‘There is no acrimony between us,’ the 60 Minutes correspondent told People magazine in an interview back in June, one month after Wyatt’s arrival.

‘Even though it’s maybe unconventional because he’s my ex, he is my family.’

The former couple split back in March 2018 after almost 10 years together. 

‘While we were a couple, he wasn’t sure he wanted kids, which was one of the issues we’d always had,’ Cooper admitted before adding, ‘But when I decided, “I’m just going to do this,” he started to be interested.’
