An optical illusion shared on TikTok has been claimed to give insight into how you work through your choices in life – depending on whether you spot a skull or a little girl first

Beginning the commentary with asking, ‘Are you courageous or rather fearful?’ the narrator explains the psychology behind the first of the objects of which viewers may spot.

They said: ‘If you’ve spotted the skull and crossbones in the picture, you’re usually considered courageous. You’re not afraid to take risks when necessary.’

Applauding the person’s potential ability to overcome adversity, they continued: ‘You’ve realised you have to go beyond your own limits to achieve a certain result.

‘You want your life to be filled with success and personal achievement. that’s why you no longer hesitate to step outside of your comfort zone.

‘When making decisions, you courageously face up to their consequences. Whether you make good or bad choices, you believe you’ll always learn from them.’

The narrator concluded: ‘Know that those around you admire you for your ability to face up to all the obstacles that come your way.’

The other object potentially spotted by observers was then analysed by the commentator, who said: ‘If you saw the little girl first, it means you’re not always brave.

‘Although you intend to take risks, you end up resigning yourself. Why do you resign yourself? For the simple reason that fear often gets the better of you.’
