Aussies are up in arms after Arnott’s played a ‘cruel’ joke on social media teasing it was discontinuing a popular variety of Tim Tams.
Viewers were sent into a spin over a video with an Arnott’s teamed member pretending to stress out over telling customers the Double Coat Tim Tams would soon be unavailable.
‘How do I tell the world we’re stopping production of Double Coat Tim Tam biscuits? Asking for a friend’ they teased in the clip.
The post was inundated with angry Aussies outraged at the news the company would no longer be making their favourite Tim Tam flavour.
However, in the comments, Arnott’s put their worries to rest saying they were ‘just teasing’.

The video posted to Tim Tim Official’s TikTok account captioned ‘We didn’t want to be the people to have to tell you this’ racked up more than 90,000 views in less than 24 hours.
Many didn’t realise the clip was made in jest and vented their fury in the comments.
