Australian actor Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness wear masks as they pick up groceries for their family in New York

Australian actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness were spotted doing some light food shopping on Saturday.

The couple wore face masks as they carried brown paper bags from gourmet grocer Brooklyn Fare back to their New York apartment.

Hugh, 51, and Deborra-lee, 64, both cut casual figures as they embraced the city’s warmer weather.

Hugh wore a black T-shirt emblazoned with his Laughing Man Coffee company logo and a pair of shorts.

He covered up with a cap, while his wife protected her eyes from the sun’s rays with some stylish sunglasses.

The Australian actress wore an all-black ensemble, consisting of a three-quarter skirt, a long-sleeve blouse, and sneakers.

In March, Hugh temporarily closed his Laughing Man cafe locations in New York to avoid the risk of spreading coronavirus.  

Hugh later chose to reopen the locations in June, asking customers to ‘enjoy responsibly’ by using masks and keeping their social distance.

The couple and their adopted children Ava, 14, and Oscar, 20, only returned to New York last month from their stunning holiday home in The Hamptons.

Hugh and Deborra-Lee celebrated 24 years of marriage in April, while in lockdown.  

The Greatest Showman actor marked the milestone by sharing a tribute to his wife on social media. 

‘These 24 years have been the best of my life! And, as far as I can see, we keep getting better,’ began Hugh.  

‘I love you Debs with every fiber of my soul. Happy anniversary.’ 

Hugh and Deborra-Lee got married on 11 April 1996, just one year after meeting on the set of Australian drama Corelli.
