The who’s who of Australian music reveal the unconventional ways they’ll be enjoying this year’s ARIA Awards

This year’s ARIA Awards have been another casualty of the coronavirus pandemic.

But while the award show will still go ahead, there’ll be no red carpet, with the who’s who of Australia’s music scene celebrating from the comfort of their own homes.

Ahead of Wednesday’s ARIAs, several musicians flocked to Instagram to share photos of the somewhat unconventional ways they’d be participating.

And many stars, including Jessica Mauboy, were more than happy to kick back on their couch.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Delta Goodrem via YouTube, with many ‘attendees’ employing the hashtag, ‘#ARIAsAtHome’.

In a post on the official ARIAs Instagram page on Wednesday, Delta appeared all dressed up in a shimmery dress as she stood in a doorframe seemingly at home.

‘We’re dressing up for the ARIA Awards (at home),’ read the caption.

Meanwhile, Jessica, 31, was more than happy to lie back on her couch with a glass of wine in hand.

The Little Things singer gladly traded stilettos for a pair of comfy looking slippers as she prepared to watch the awards show at home.
