‘That’s a really big squirrel!’ Bear tries to sneak along the top of a backyard fence in hilarious footage

This is the hilarious moment a householder in South Lake Tahoe in California filmed a bear climbing along a fence in their back yard. 

The young bear balanced itself precariously on top of the six-foot wooden fence while it was being secretly filmed. 

Hours after the video was posted online, one fan asked the owner to include the theme tune to Mission Impossible to the footage. 

Another person copied the video to their own page and added the theme tune to James Bond.  

The bear was spotted climbing along the fence at the back of a home in South Lake Tahoe, California

Another person, Laura Millhouse wrote: ‘That’s a really big squirrel’.

A third person suggested the bear was ‘just a big raccoon.’

Another suggested that the bear was in ‘stealth mode’ while sneaking along the fence.

Aly on TikTok revealed: I’m pretty sure this is how my dog perceives squirrels.’

William Frantz added: ‘Act normally and they’ll think I’m a raccoon.’

The area around South Lake Tahoe, which is in the Sierra Nevada mountains, has been badly affected in recent years by wildfires which have destroyed the habitat for much of the area’s wildlife.
