Beyonce wins FOUR NAACP Image Awards as the top musical winner

The fourth night (of five) of the 2021 NAACP Image Awards celebrated musical artists, with Beyonce walking away the biggest winner of the night.

The 39-year-old performer took home four awards on Thursday, sharing two of those with Megan Thee Stallion.

The two she took home solo were Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Music Video for Brown Skin Girl.

Queen Bey beat out H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Ledisi and Alicia Keys for Outstanding Female Artist this year.

She also bested herself in the Outstanding Music Video category, since she was also nominated for Black is King.

Other nominees for Outstanding Music Video include H.E.R.’s I Can’t Breathe, Ledisi’s Anything For You and Chloe X Halle’s Do It.

Bey and Megan Thee Stallion won Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary) and Outstanding Hip Hop/Rap Song for their Savage Remix.

They beat out Alicia Keys feat. Khalid (So Done), Big Sean feat. Nipsey Hussle (Deep Reverence), Chloe x Halle (Do It) and Jhené Aiko feat. H.E.R. (B.S.) for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Contemporary).

They beat out Big Sean feat. Nipsey Hussle (Deep Reverence), Missy Elliott (Cool Off), Drake (Laugh Now, Cry Later) and Future & Drake (Life Is Good) for Outstanding Hip Hop/Rap Song.

Chloe X Halle were the only other winners of multiple awards on Thursday night, picking up two awards.

They won Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (Traditional), beating out Alicia Keys feat. Jill Scott (Jill Scott), Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis feat. Babyface (He Don’t Know Nothin’ Bout It), Kem feat. Toni Braxton (Live Out Your Love) and Ledisi and PJ Morton (Anything For You).

They also won Outstanding Soul/R&B song with Do It, beating out H.E.R. (I Can’t Breathe), LEDISI (Anything For You), Jhene Aiko feat. H.E.R. (B.S.) and Beyonce (Black Parade).

Other Thursday winners include Doja Cat for Outstanding New Artist, Drake for Outstanding Male Artist and Jhene Aiko’s Chilombo for Outstanding Album.

Hit-Boy also won Outstanding Producer of the Year, while Jon Batiste won Outstanding Jazz Album – Instrumental for Music From and Inspired By Soul.

Somi also won Outstanding Jazz Album – Vocal for Holy Room – Live at Alte Oper while Original Koffee won Outstanding International Song for Lockdown.

Batiste took another award for Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation Album for Soul Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, along with Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Tom MacDougall
