Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles corrects star’s Grammy speech in gushing Instagram post about ‘blood, sweat and tears’ since seven years old


Beyonce made Grammy history on Sunday night with her record 28th win.

And on Tuesday, Tina Knowles took to Instagram to correct her famous daughter’s acceptance speech in which the pop superstar had spoken about ‘working my whole life, since nine years old’ to achieve success.

‘She said since “since she was nine years old” Well I remember 7 years old!’ Knowles gushed.

Gushed: Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles shared a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday in which she recalled the ‘blood, sweat and tears’ her daughter had gone through since age seven (they’re pictured in 2013)

The 67-year-old, who split from Beyonce’s father and mentor Mathew Knowles in  2011, went on to rave about her daughter in a very length post alongside video of the acceptance speech.

‘So much, Blood, sweat and tears, intense training, vocal lessons, dance lessons, running and singing with your dad, every morning, missed parties and proms, hardly any playing outside. Total dedication and tremendous 100 Percent focus. So many sacrifices,’ Knowles said.

She went on: ‘I have to say you don’t have a career like this with out huge sacrifices and pure dedication .. And tremendous giving back, and paying it forward at the same time. Well deserved baby !!’

‘Every award show I look at , I see your inspiration in so many other’s performances in some way . You are always complimentary you are always exposing young talent , and creatives, I front of and behind the camera’s teaching, training, mentoring sharing all of the resources that you have taken years ,and so much sacrifice to build.  (sic)’

Knowles added: ‘You are always happy for all of the other talented artist!! You also respect and honor artist that came before you and opened doors for you !!!!You are truly a gracious Class act!!! I am so Proud not of just the 28 Grammys but for the incredible human being you have managed to stay.’

Beyonce won four Grammy Awards Sunday – her record-breaking 28th win was for  Best R&B Performance for Black Parade.

She also won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song with Megan Thee Stallion for Savage.

‘I can’t believe this happened, it’s such a magical night, thank you so much,’ Beyonce said after collecting her Black Parade Grammy.

She had attended the ceremony at the LA Convention Center with husband and rap mogul Jay-Z. 

The singer also shared a Grammy win with her nine-year-old daughter Blue Ivy during the non-televised portion of the awards show.

They won the award for best music video for the single, Brown Skin Girl.
