Brazen burglar hauls sacks of stolen goods and purses out of Florida Burlington store

Brazen ‘Burlington bandit’ hauls $5,000 of stolen loot out of Florida store – after stuffing some down his pants – and passes sign that reads ‘see you soon for your next treasure hunt’ as he strolls out

  • A thief was captured on video in Florida dragging a heap of goods from a store
  • The brazen robbery took place at a Burlington store in Hialeah on Black Friday
  • Police need help identifying the thief, who could be seen clearly on camera

A man brazenly walked out of a department store on Black Friday with a huge heap of handbags and sacks loaded with loot in tow.

The unidentified man was captured by surveillance cameras stuffing items into sacks and even his underwear before leaving the Burlington store in Hialeah, Florida, with the $5,000 haul.

As he does so, the brazen bandit walks past a sign reading: ‘See you soon for your next treasure hunt!’

The crime was committed in full view of the store’s cameras and the thief made no attempt to disguise himself or make the robbery short and discreet.

‘He’s doing his holiday shopping on the dime of the store. This is something we won’t tolerate,’ Hialeah Police Sergeant Jose Torres told Local10 news.

The Burlington – formerly known as Coat Factory – is located at 3895 West 20th Avenue in Hialeah, a city ten miles from Miami.

After miraculously making it out of the shop without being intercepted by staff or shoppers, the thief got to his car and made off.

Although the robbery happened on Black Friday, the police were not notified until the following Tuesday.

With clear images of his face, tattoos and car, Hialeah police are now appealing to the public for information about the nonchalant theft on November 25.

In the video it appears that the man got away with copious numbers of pocket books, some shoes and dozens of handbags.

‘Look at this guy. Give us a call and we would be more than glad to get him off the street,’ said Torres.
