A thrill-seeker recorded the moment he calmly performed a solo base jump in the rain from the world’s tallest bridge.

The unnamed adrenaline junkie recorded the footage on his GoPro as he launched himself from the Millau Viaduct, France.

He performs a series of backward somersaults with ease before opening his parachute and gliding back down to solid ground.

In the clip, recorded on August 31, the man can be seen crouching behind a barrier on the suspension bridge as cars rush past.

He glances up toward the grey sky as rain falls around him but remains unfazed.

The daredevil decides to waste little time as he scales the fence and takes a few deep breaths.

The Millau Viaduct’s is the world’s tallest bridge – and even stands 62ft higher than the Eiffel Tower.

Its deck height is 890ft with the masts adding another 280ft – making its highest more than 1,100ft from the bottom of the valley.

The bridge cost nearly €310million to build and officially opened for business in 2004.
