Bride-to-be and fiancé hold a mock ceremony on lively Southwest Airlines flight

A bride-to-be and her fiancé held a mock ceremony in mid-air Sunday – donning a dress of toilet rolls for the occasion aboard a particularly boisterous Southwest Airlines flight.

Flying from their native Austin to a wedding venue in Oakland, the unnamed Texas couple conducted the impromptu ceremony right in the plane’s aisle – all to the delight of fellow passengers.

Those travelers, expecting an uneventful, three-hour flight, found themselves with a front row seat to the festivities, reportedly made possible by the plane’s crew.

Tamara Bogetti was one of those passengers, and once the matrimony was underway, immediately whipped out her phone to record the ensuing revelry.

Footage currently making its rounds on social media shows the unidentified bride walking down the plane aisle to her waiting fiancé, with a veil of snow white-toilet tissue streaming behind her.

Waiting in the wings was her soon-to-be husband, who passengers said was dressed complete with a sash made from airline pretzel packaging.

Making her way down the aisle, the laughing bride is seen greeted with a steady stream of applause and whoops from those in attendance.

Amid this rave reception, the woman – decked out in a roll of the white stuff –  is seen clutching a matching bouquet made from the same disposable material.

Footage of the festivities has since been viewed more than 1,000 times, and even garnered a response from the airline presiding over the flight.

Recounting to Storyful how the the midair celebrations came to be, Bogetti explained Sunday the future bride and fiancé boarded the commercial flight with bag that clearly contained a wedding dress.

Quickly taking notice, members of the plane’s crew took it on themselves to hold a dry run of the couple’s looming nuptials, and used whatever they had readily on-hand to make it happen.

In Bogetti’s clip, members of the crew are seen ushering the bride-to-be down the aisle, with their liveness seemingly contagious amongst others present in the plane’s cabin.

Shortly after disembarking, Bogetti recalled: ‘They did a brief faux ceremony. It was so fun, and creative. It uplifted everyone on the plane.’

She also took to Twitter to thank the flight’s lively staff, revealing that plane had previously been delayed.

‘Southwest made this flight fun celebrating a bride & groom,’ the de facto wedding photographer wrote while sharing her now widely seen clip. ‘Made me smile despite the delayed flight.’

Shortly thereafter, Southwest responded with a tweet with their own, this one thanking Bogetti for having the mindfulness to record the occasion.

‘Thanks for sharing, Tammy,’ the airline’s official account wrote.

Southwest staffers did not share the names of the couple seen in the footage.
