Is this the most Aussie argument EVER? Neighbours erupt over barking dogs – but not before one of them politely offers the other a beer

  • The argument subsided once the man took a sip

An argument between a dog owner and his neighbour over excessive barking has been diffused after the neighbour cracked open a beer as a peace offering.

The argument took place through the front fly-screen door of the Brisbane dog owner after one of the dogs barked at the neighbour as he walked past his house.

Footage of the argument was soon posted to TikTok by the dog owner’s roommate with users laughing at the typical Aussie scenario.

An argument between a Brisbane dog owner and his neighbour over the dogs’ behaviour was escalating before the neighbour cracked and offered him a beer

At the start of the footage, the neighbour could be seen yelling at the dog owner not only about how much the dogs barked but how many animals he owned.

‘The solution to your dog problem was to get another one, you f***wit,’ the neighbour yelled.

‘I’ve had two the whole f***ing time,’ the angry dog owner replied.

As the conflict started to reach a boiling point, the argument stopped before the neighbour reached into his shopping bag and retrieved  a can of beer.

‘You want one?’ the neighbour asks after taking a sip, however the dog owner declined the beer.

The argument immediately became civil as the two seemed to make small talk outside of the argument they were yelling about just seconds prior.

‘Look we tell them to stop,’ the dog owner says in a calm voice, returning to the dispute.

‘Mate, I’ve had a hardcore dog for years,’ the neighbour responded, admitting to owning barking-prone dogs in the past including Pitbulls.

The argument cooled off into a simmer as the dog owner agreed to fix a part of his fence his dogs had been peering through with both men working past the dispute.

‘These two blokes will be best mates in no time,’ one TikTok user commented.

‘Great job to this guy for de escalating the situation, handled that perfectly,’ another commented.

One commented on the dogs remaining mostly calm for the argument, saying ‘I love how the dogs are being good boys’.

‘I love how his mood changes when he cracks a can,’ another commented.
