British waitress stunned after bride tips her $100 for spilling GRAVY down mother-in-law’s dress

Waitress is left speechless after a bride tips her $100 for spilling GRAVY all over her mother-in-law’s dress – but some think there’s more to the story

  • A waitress was stunned to receive a $100 tip while working at a UK wedding
  • She accidentally spilled gravy all over the mother-in-law of the bride
  • But the bride was elated because her groom’s mum wore white to the ceremony
  • She thanked the mortified waitress and handed her a £55 ($98.50 AUD) gratuity

A waitress was stunned to receive a $100 tip after spilling food over the mother-in-law of the bride – a generous gratuity that came from the bride herself.

British woman Chloe, who posts on TikTok as @Chloe_Beee, briefly worked as a silver service waitress catering weddings and other highbrow events across the UK.

In a viral video that has racked up 1.1million views since it was uploaded on April 15, Chloe recalled how she once spilled an entire ‘boat’ of gravy down the front of a woman who had brazenly worn white to her son’s wedding.

Mortified by her mistake, Chloe’s distress quickly turned to dismay when the bride thanked her and handed her a £55 ($98.50 AUD) tip.

‘My mother-in-law should not have been wearing white to my wedding,’ Chloe claimed the bride told her.

‘When I see her in town now, we still say hi,’ she added.

Chloe said the mother-in-law ‘had to go and get changed at home’, but thankfully lived locally.

Chloe also revealed she has dyspraxia, a neurological disorder that reduces the ability to plan and process motor tasks, causing clumsiness and problems with balance.

The difficulties created by the condition ultimately led her to quit waitressing, she said.

The clip, which has shot Chloe to social media stardom over the past three days, has sparked some skeptical responses.

‘Are you sure the tip came after the ‘accident’ and not before,’ said one viewer, implying the bride had bribed Chloe to destroy her mother-in-law’s outfit.

‘I’ve seen someone pour red wine over the MIL [mother-in-law] because she was wearing white. People cheered,’ added another.

A third replied: ‘I would definitely hire you.’
