Carrie Underwood dons all black including leather pants as she joins David Bisbal to rehearse their duet for Latin American Music Awards

She’s best known as a modern queen of country music.

But Carrie Underwood will be publicly trying her hand at at something new when she joins David Bisbal on Thursday to perform their bilingual duet Tears Of Gold.

The 38-year-old American Idol winner and the 41-year-old Spanish singer–songwriter got a head start on their performance on Wednesday as they rehearsed on stage in Sunrise, Florida.

The two singers made a stop at the rehearsal red carpet, with Carrie rocking an edgy all-black ensemble.

She had on a set of black leather pants that highlighted her fit legs. 

She contrasted them with a frilly black top with long voluminous sleeves and cascading beads running down from her shoulders.

The 5ft3in performer stood tall in black open-toe heels with gold-studded straps wrapped around her ankles.

She contrasted her dark outfit with her long blond locks, which reached down to her midriff.

The two were captured performing on a mostly black stage decorated with intriguing strands of puck-like lights. 

Their duet, Tears Of Gold, is a departure for Carrie, as it’s the first time she’s sang in Spanish on a recording.

She and David both alternate between English and Spanish in the bilingual track.

The song was released in December as a single and also as part of the Spanish hitmaker’s deluxe edition for his 2020 album En Tus Planes.

In February, David opened up to Hollywood Life about the collaboration and commended Carrie for her ‘powerful voice.’

‘I knew right away that she was exactly what we needed for this,’ he added.

He called it a ‘dream come true’ when Carrie agreed to collaborate with him after he sent her a copy of the song.

‘She did an amazing job, and she asked to sing her verses in Spanish. I am so proud of her,’ he said.
