Cashing in? Royal Collection Trust unveils Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding memorabilia – including a £40 China tankard, a £35 pillbox and £9 strawberry truffles

- Collection features a bee to recognise nickname used to address Beatrice

It was a private ceremony in front of just a handful of guests, but that hasn’t stopped official souvenirs going on sale to mark Prince Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
From today, the items – which includes a £40 tankard featuring a bee icon – are available from the Royal Collection Trust’s website and the charity said they have been released to ‘celebrate’ the couple’s special day.
This is despite the fact that their slimmed-down wedding – at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor on July 17 – was not made public beforehand.
The China tankard was made in Stoke-on-Trent using traditional methods and features a bee to symbolise the way Beatrice is addressed by friends and family.
It also boasts Beatrice and her husband’s initials on either side and is gilded with 22-carat gold.

Also on sale is a similarly initialed pillbox (£35) and cotton tea towel (£9.95), two ornate Christmas tree decorations (£12.95 and £14.95), shortbread (£2.95) and a pack of strawberry truffles (£8.95).
The tankard and pillbox are decorated with depictions of pink roses, peonies, lemon blossom, thistles and the white rose of York.
The roses reflect those which were included on Beatrice’s bridal bouquet and the thistles symbolise her and Edoardo’s love for Balmoral, the Royal Collection Trust said.
On all of the products is a bee motif to reflect how Beatrice is addressed by family and friends.

The Royal Collection Trust told MailOnline in a statement: ‘All profits from sales of the commemorative range go to The Royal Collection Trust, the registered charity responsible for the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational programmes.’
Beatrice and property tycoon Mr Mapelli Mozzi were originally due to marry in the Chapel Royal followed by a reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace – but their wedding was postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Beatrice’s father the Duke of York walked her down the aisle but he did not feature in the photographs released by Buckingham Palace.

The wedding was also attended by The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The merchandise celebrating the wedding have gone on sale the day before Beatrice’s wedding dress goes on display at Windsor Castle.
The Sir Norman Hartnell gown, first worn by the Queen in the 1960s, was loaned to Beatrice by her grandmother.
The stunning dress will be on display from September 24 until November 22, the Royal Collection Trust announced earlier this month.
