‘Just the three of us’: Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky enjoy an outdoor breakfast date in Byron Bay… before being joined by a water dragon lizard

Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky were enjoying an outdoor breakfast date in Byron Bay on Friday, when they were joined by a surprise guest.

In true Australian form, the pair weren’t surprised when a water dragon lizard came to snack on the crumbs of Elsa’s sandwich.

The animal sat right next to Elsa, 43, as the couple joked about spending time together as a trio.

‘Do you wanna go get a coffee or you right?’ Chris asked Elsa.

‘Nah, I’ll stay with him,’ the Spanish model cheekily replied.

Chris panned the camera over to where the small water dragon was happily munching on a piece of bread.

He asked the lizard: ‘Do you want a coffee?’

‘My favourite person in the world,’ Elsa added, pointing at the lizard.

‘Just the three of us,’ Chris continued to joke.

‘She was sleeping in one of our helmets in the garage, cheeky girl!’ Elsa said on Instagram at the time.

In the videos, the snake – believed to be a carpet python – was seen being placed into an empty black bin before being released into the wild.

Elsa shared a snap of Chris, their children and pet dog Sunny walking towards a garden, with Thor star Chris holding the bin.

Chris and Elsa moved to Byron from Hollywood, back in 2014.

The blonde beauty spoke to Vogue Australia in January about her perfect life in Australia after finding Hollywood ‘consuming’.

‘I feel Hollywood consumes you in such a way that it feels like work all the time. I think when you’re in it you don’t even realise but when you get out, it changes everything,’ she explained.

Elsa said she had always dreamed of raising her children in nature, and admitted that she had to compromise her passion for acting to fulfill her dream.

‘But I changed my life to be a mum, which I think is just the most amazing thing in the world… I wanted to pick my kids up, I wanted to take them to school, I wanted to be part of the school and be involved in what they do,’ she said.
