- But Liverpool and Manchester United’s clash was postponed due to fan trouble
- And not winning the title yet will be a good thing ahead of their European clash
- It will mean Pep Guardiola’s city will be fully focused against French giants PSG
The postponement at Old Trafford means City have to wait a little longer to be crowned champions.
But, in a way, that might be a good thing. The silver lining for Pep Guardiola is none of City’s players will have been cracking open the bubbly last night.
None of them will have been indulging or celebrating their title win into the wee hours.

City hold a 2-1 lead from the first leg but when Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are in town, that can be wiped out in a flash.
I’m sure if you had given PSG a choice — City win the Premier League title two days before your clash or they don’t — they would have chosen the former.

Mauricio Pochettino would have loved to see pictures of City’s players partying on the eve of their trip to the Etihad.
There will be plenty of time for Guardiola and his team to celebrate their Premier League title later.
For now they can focus on the task at hand, which is to reach their first Champions League final.
