Christine McGuinness fears husband Paddy’s vasectomy hasn’t worked as she craves ice lollies

Christine McGuinness has confessed she is worried that her Top Gear presenter husband Paddy’s vasectomy hasn’t worked after she experienced cravings.

The model, 32, and comedian, 47, had previously decided three is enough after becoming parents to twins Penelope and Leo, seven, and Felicity, four.

But after craving a Fab ice lolly and with a cup of tea before bedtime, Christine revealed on Wednesday night she’s planning an urgent call to Paddy’s doctor.

Fears: Christine McGuinness has confessed she is worried that her Top Gear presenter husband Paddy’s vasectomy hasn’t worked after she experienced cravings

The Real Housewives of Chelsea star had been joking with fans about her Fab evening as she tucked into her unusual snack while relaxing in front of the TV.

Paddy also seemed baffled by his wife’s nighttime craving, as he took to Instagram to share a snapshot of the snack.

He wrote: ‘Just asked the good lady what she wanted for her supper? I’m praying that vasectomy has held.’

Some fans told Paddy below his post that vasectomies don’t always work and they sometimes need to be checked out.

One fan told him: ‘My husband had a vasectomy, he wanted to make sure it still worked lol. I had a period and conceived in Ten days after. That was 26 years ago, we had been trying for over two years, so was definitely meant to be lol.’

Another wrote: ‘Note of caution. It can grow back. A former Leicester player friend of mine it actually happened ended up changing nappies again.’

Meanwhile, a third said: ‘My friends had a baby post vasectomy. It’s not unheard of.’

Responding to the posts, Christine stated: ‘Oh no I’ve never heard of this. He’s getting booked in first thing.’

Christine then took to her Instagram Stories at midnight to say: ‘Just to everyone sending me messages to say their husbands snips didn’t work like, soz about that, or congratulations – I’m not really sure you want me to say.

‘But please don’t send those negative vibes my way because I’m really hoping that his snip has worked!’

She continued: ‘We never actually had it checked because of the lockdown, but I’m sure it worked – it must have! But I do need to get him checked.

‘I’m going to ring that doctor first thing tomorrow. You know I believe in manifestations, so don’t send those wishes my way!

My friend who’s a bit psychic messaged me the other day and said there is definitely another baby in your life. There definitely is. I was like, no there’s not. Oh f***!

‘The doctor’s getting a phone call tomorrow and he’ll be getting a bill for any babies for the rest of their lives, and all!’

Christine recently revealed that her three autistic children have become ‘more physical’ with her and each other as she detailed how they have changed during lockdown.

Taking to Instagram earlier this month, Christine shared a reassuring text she sent to a fellow SEN (special educational needs) mum, detailing how she ‘barely recognises’ her children at times, before positively adding that the difficult time ‘will pass’.

Christine has always been open about her children’s highs and lows in living with autism, often sharing her experiences and giving advice and support to parents in the same boat.

And Christine once again gave an honest insight into raising children who are on the spectrum as she detailed how lockdown was going for her family, adding that other SEN families are ‘not alone’.

Sharing a sympathetic text she sent to one mum, she said: ‘I totally understand, all three of mine have got more physical with me and each other recently it’s awful.

‘I barely recognise them sometimes and I just paint a smile on like everything is fine. Thinking of you lots, stay strong. This time will pass.’

Alongside the image she shared a lengthy caption in which she further detailed her kids’ changes, while also sharing a message of support to everyone affected by the pandemic.

She penned: ‘Day 1 : Lockdown 3. This may or may not help anyone but this is ‘real life’ I just want to let my SEN families know you are not alone, I hear you, I understand.

‘For me personally I feel good, I am very head strong and I love to stay positive but I can’t deny what these lockdowns are doing to my children. my children are not the same little people they were this time last year.’

She went on: ‘The pandemic is affecting everyone differently, wether it’s your business, your mental health, a loss of life.. Covid is hitting everyone hard in different ways it’s heartbreaking. I pray every day, I hope it passes soon.

‘Thinking of you all, sending love and light to each and every one of you ❤️ (This is a message I sent to one of my SEN mummy friends this morning) In it together.’ [sic]
