Cody Simpson parties with girlfriend Marloes Stevens and pals on the Gold Coast after failing to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics
Cody Simpson missed out on a place on the Australian swim team for this year’s Tokyo Olympics.
But on Sunday, he appeared in great spirits as he shared photos to Instagram of himself enjoying a ‘week off’ with girlfriend Marloes Stevens and their pals.
The 24-year-old was seen packing on the PDA with his model partner, enjoying wine and busting out a few dance moves, while at a house party on the Gold Coast.

Cody covered up his buff frame in a white T-shirt, a black sweater on top and jeans.
In one photo, the singer and swimmer warmly embraced Marloes, 28, who wrapped her arms around his torso.
A short black and white video saw Cody holding onto a glass of red wine and showing off his dance moves with his equally jovial pals.

Teasing more footage, Cody captioned the upload: ‘Week off things / visions of Mermaid Beach part I.’
Cody missed out on a place at this year’s Tokyo Olympics at the Australian Olympic Trials earlier this month.
The young star, who made a bold charge at Olympic glory after many years away from the sport, placed last in the men’s 100-metre butterfly final.

After the race, Cody vowed in an Instagram post to ‘come back stronger next year.’
He also stated his intentions to aim for a place at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
‘What an experience racing at my first Australian Olympic Trials. To make a final was our goal this year and with less than a year of training we did just that,’ he wrote.
‘I’ve come so much further than I expected to this year and to be racing the best in the country already is a privilege.’

He also admitted he didn’t think he’d be ‘remotely competitive until at least next year at the earliest’ and had thereby exceeded his own expectations.
