She’s joined her fellow Coronation Street cast as they returned to filming this month.

And Alison King cut a casual figure as she enjoyed some downtime to walk her dogs with a pal in Cheshire on Tuesday.

The actress, 47, who plays Carla Connor in the ITV soap, donned comfy sportswear including a padded navy gilet as she took a stroll around her local area.

Looking relaxed as she walked, Alison paired her jacket with a grey long-sleeved top, black leggings and white trainers.

The star swept her raven tresses up into a high ponytail, while she went make-up free for the outing.

Alison appeared in good spirits as she chatted away with her pal as they made their way around town with the pooches in tow.

It comes as Coronation Street resumed filming earlier this month after production was halted for nearly three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As the actors return to filming, the plan is to make enough shows to continue airing three episodes a week to ensure the soap remains on-screen in July.

ITV bosses previously confirmed that older cast members will be kept at home during the first few weeks of filming.

The new safety measures are in accordance with the recently issued TV production guidelines which will be observed whilst filming the top ITV soap.

Meanwhile, last month Alison revealed that she was forced to cancel her wedding amid the coronavirus crisis.

Alison was set to wed her toyboy beau David Stuckey in May in a swish Greek ceremony, with family and friends flying out to celebrate with them.

But Alison had her plans thwarted, like so many couples around the globe who have had to postpone their nuptials.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Alison and her future hubby were hoping there was some way they could make the wedding work despite all the restrictions. But in the end they ran out of options.

‘They hoped lockdown might lift enough to let them tie the knot but it proved too much of a logistical nightmare.

‘The irony of it being like a Corrie plotline isn’t lost on them. They are trying to remain philosophical about the whole thing.’

The couple have been an item since 2018 and delightedly announced their engagement last year.
