Daisy Lowe risks being BANNED from driving and a £1,000 fine as she is caught texting while driving

Daisy Lowe risked being banned from driving as she texted while behind the wheel of her car during an outing in Camden on Thursday.

The model, 31, was seen looking down at her phone as she waited at traffic lights outside the British Transport Police station.

It is illegal to hold a phone while driving and the law still applies if someone is stopped at traffic lights or waiting in traffic.

Daisy, who is the daughter of singer Gavin Rossdale, let both hands go of the wheel while she was stopped and checked her phone.

The fashion model opted for a casual look for her outing, sporting a white T-shirt while she styled her brunette locks into an updo.

According to gov.uk, people can get six penalty points as well as a £200 fine if they use a hand held phone while driving.

People can also lose their licence for the offence if they have passed their driving test in the last two years.

People can receive three penalty points if they don’t have a full view of the road ahead or proper control of their vehicle.

Those who commit the offense can also be taken to court where they could potentially be banned from driving or face a £1,000 fine (increasing to £2,500 if they were driving a lorry or a bus).

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Daisy for comment.

Earlier this month, Daisy attracted headlines after she was seen locking lips with property developer Jordan Saul, in a north London park, one month after she was linked to musician Christian Langdon.

The day before Daisy’s lovefest in the park, her spokesperson told MailOnline that her relationship with Christian was platonic after she was spotted with a ring on her engagement finger.

Before that, the model had been dating singer Jack, 35, for six months, but they split in March, with Daisy saying she ‘couldn’t see a future’ with the performer.
