Last week, Lindsay Arnold announced she was expecting her first child with husband Samuel Cusick.
And in an emotional video uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, the 26-year-old Dancing With The Stars pro revealed that the gender of her impending child is female.
For the gender reveal, Lindsay and Samuel set off their own individual confetti cannons that sent clouds of pink confetti into the air.

Lindsay’s mouth dropped as she watched the confetti fill her and Samuel’s surroundings, while family members cheered in excitement.
She ended up dropping her popper to ground and flew into Samuel’s arms – knocking his hat off his head.
He picked up Lindsay as she kept her hands clasped around his neck and smiled into his chest.
Lindsay took a moment to speak to her surveying family members and – in between her fits of laughter – claimed that Samuel uttered a disappointed ‘No!’ when he saw the pink confetti fly out of the cannon.

The couple shared a few more hugs and kisses with each other before Lindsay’s mother approached them for a group hug.

‘Oh no, I gotta process this,’ said Samuel as he flashed a smile at the cheering crowd of friends and family.
Lindsay admitted that ‘not for one second did [she] think it was gonna be a girl.’

The nearly seven-minute video commenced with footage of Lindsay and Samuel taken during their wedding in 2015 and transitioned to video taken during the couple’s honeymoon.
The retrospective footage was intercepted by selfie video taken by Lindsay in her car, while she waited with Samuel to get her first ultrasound underway.

‘We’re getting the ultrasound done. We’re gonna find out the gender. And then we are going straight to my house and we are doing the gender reveal party,’ she explained.
The professional ballroom dancer then asked Samuel to take a guess at the baby’s gender, to which he replied: ‘I don’t know. 50/50 chance.’
The video then cut to footage taken in the ultrasound room, where Lindsay laid with her belly bare as images of her unborn child showed up on a screen in front of her.

Neither Lindsay or Samuel looked at the screen and, once they finished the appointment, they headed off to a party store to get their confetti cannons filled.
While on their way to the gender reveal party, Lindsay and Samuel each confidently stated that they believed they were having a boy.
Once they arrived to Lindsay’s home, they went around with a video camera and captured the guesses of family members before unveiling the answer in confetti cannon form.

Last Wednesday, Lindsay used Instagram to publish her baby announcement to thw world.

For the big news, Lindsay posed for two photographs with Samuel that showed her holding a string of ultrasound images in her hand.

Samuel suited up for the occasion in a grey polo and dark wash denim jeans.
In the second snapshot, the married couple shared a tender kiss as Arnold flashed the ultrasound photos – and her sparkling wedding ring – at the camera.

Her pregnancy news came as quite a shock to her 800,000 followers being that the star had put her abs on full display on social media earlier in the month.
Following her 2015 wedding the Samuel, Lindsay released a statement to People stating how ‘excited’ she was to ‘dance through life with Sam.’
‘I could never have imagined that when I was 16 years old I would have met the man I would marry and who would be my partner – yesterday, today and tomorrow,’ read Lindsay’s statement.
A year after their marriage, the high school sweethearts told ET that they ‘definitely [wanted] kids’ but that, at the time, they were not ready to begin a family.

News of Arnold’s pregnancy comes just six-months after the tragic loss of her mother-in-law Jennifer Cusick in 2019.
Jennifer’s unexpected passing forced Arnold to step away from her Dancing With The Stars duties where she was actively competing with former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

‘I am so saddened to say that my beautiful, loving, selfless mother in law has unexpectedly passed away,’ wrote Arnold on her personal Instagram.
‘Family is the most important thing to me and being with my husband and our family at this time is exactly where I need to be.’
Lindsay began her career on Dancing With The Stars during season 16 of the competition show in 2013.
