Dane Swan announces he and longtime girlfriend Taylor Wilson are expecting their first child

Dane Swan has revealed that his girlfriend Taylor Wilson is pregnant with their first child. 

The 36-year-old AFL star shared the happy news on Friday, when appearing on KIIS 101.1’s Jase and PJ. 

‘The cat’s out of the bag,’ Dane said, before revealing that their tiny tot is due in February next year.   

‘Not that I was hiding it, it’s very, very hard to hide a pregnant woman for the rest of your life, or hide a kid in the basement for the rest of its life,’ Dane joked. 

‘Heard that doesn’t end well.’

Dane said that Taylor has been loving the lock down in Victoria in recent weeks because she’s been pregnant and Dane’s been home with her.   

‘The only person I think in Victoria who has loved being in lock down is my missus,’ he said. 

‘Because I haven’t had the chance to get out and have the… every time we’d go back into lock down, I’d be sitting there, blowing up, going, “I want to go out and get my last few months of freedom in” and I look over and she’s smiling and laughing.’

He jokingly added that now the news is out there, that he hopes they can get lots of ‘free s**t’ for their baby.  

The couple have been dating since 2010. 

In 2017, he told News Corp about how they will get married ‘some time in the near future.’ 

‘I’ve had plenty of time to think about it [marriage]. It won’t be this year,’ Dane revealed.

‘This is our fun year. I’ve always said the year I finish footy is a gap year to go away and travel.

‘It won’t be this year, I might be broke so I won’t be able to but I guess that is the natural progression of life so some time in the future I guess,’ he continued.
