Daryl Maguire allegedly had keys to Gladys Berejiklian’s home for YEARS

Dodgy Dazza had keys to Gladys Berejiklian’s home for YEARS and only gave them back a month ago, claims Mark Latham

Gladys Berejiklian’s secret ex-boyfriend had a key to her house and would come and go as he liked, Mark Latham has claimed.

The New South Wales premier secretly dated disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire from 2015 until August this year, it was revealed last week.

Ms Berejiklian, 50, has claimed she kept their romance secret from her friends, family and the public because it was ‘not of sufficient substance’.

But NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham has claimed they lived together and he had a key to her suburban home in Northbridge, Sydney.

Asking a question in the upper house of the New South Wales parliament on Thursday, Mr Latham claimed Mr Maguire visited as recently as last month.

He said: ‘Given that Daryl Maguire had a key to the Premier’s north shore home for many years, and while cohabitating came and went as he liked as recently as last month, doesn’t this demonstrate an intimate personal relationship and the Premier’s failure under the ministerial code of conduct to declare all of Daryl Maguire’s business interests.’

The leader of the government in the upper house, Don Harwin, said he would take the question on notice.

Maguire – who was Wagga Wagga MP from 1999 to 2018 – is being investigated by New South Wales corruption body ICAC.

At an inquiry last week he admitted to running a cash-for-visa scheme from his office, ‘monetising’ his parliamentary position and secretly directing the company G8wayinternational from his office which ‘ultimately’ sought to sell access to the highest levels of government.

He also admitted to having an ‘on-and-off’ secret relationship with Ms Berejiklian.

Recorded calls played at the inquiry show the pair chatted about his debts and commissions he sought for brokering property deals.

Labor has accused the premier of turning a blind eye to corruption but she has insisted she was not aware of any wrongdoing and has refused to resign.

The inquiry heard phone calls in which Maguire called her ‘babe’ and she called him her ‘numero uno’ – Spanish for number one.

‘I stuffed up in my personal life,’ the premier said.

Government ministers are bound to declare the financial interests of their immediate family members.

The definition includes people ‘with whom the minister is in an intimate personal relationship’.

Ms Berejiklian has insisted that Maguire was not her boyfriend, saying in a radio interview last week: ‘It wasn’t a normal relationship… he wasn’t anything of note.’

But she later admitted that she loved him and wanted to get married.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the premier’s office for comment.
