Drew Barrymore dons mommy-chic sweater and jeans as she walks with her daughters Olive and Frankie

Drew Barrymore’s busier than ever, recently adding the role of talk show host to her resume.

But the lifelong actress, 45, still had time for her family on Wednesday, seen out with daughters Olive, eight, and Frankie, six, in New York.

Drew looked like a doting parent, wrapping her arms around her girls as she appeared to take them to school.

On top she sported a comfy grey pullover. Equally as cozy were her suede slippers, which had plush lambskin lining.

She raked her warm brown locks back into a ponytail. Keeping a bit low-key, Drew had most of her very recognizable face hidden by a combination of sunglasses and a snazzy face mask.

Her two daughters, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman, appeared to be dressed for school, seen in prim uniforms that featured navy pinafores with Peter Pan collared shirts underneath.

During the walk Drew checked in with her younger girl Frankie, who wore a sassy leopard jacket around her waist.

Olive was a bit more independent as she walked with her mom. It looked like she had been having a bit of fun with drawing lately, seen with an ink design on her thigh.

While Drew is a dedicated mom, she didn’t exactly learn by example.

The Charlie’s Angels actress grew up under a very unorthodox style of parenting, the child of actors Jaid and John Barrymore.

Drew launched to fame at the age of seven in 1982’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, followed two years later by Firestarter.

As she approached her teens, the spotlight proved troublesome for Drew, whose socialite mother Jaid allowed her daughter to accompany her to venues such as New York’s infamous Studio 54.

And by the ages of 12 to 14, the young actress quickly developed a reputation as a ‘party girl’ and ‘damaged goods’.

She was even sent to a mental institution by her mother – an experience Drew recently talked about with Paris Hilton, who guested on her show recently.

Later, the starlet legally emancipated from her mother, and went about starting over in Hollywood.

Looking back on the darker periods of her very public life in an interview with The Sun earlier this month, she reflected on ‘how lucky’ she is.

The Ever After star spoke about her new chat show gig, saying: ‘I don’t know how I ended up here but I will never lose sight of how lucky I am.

‘Being blacklisted at 12, I appreciate every job I have,’ said the former wild child.

‘I know what it’s like to lose and work for things and be so lucky and have the opportunities I have and everything in between. I don’t think there’s much to hide at this point,’ the actress and producer went on.
