In the series of sweet family photos, Dua and her father were pictured hugging and napping in various stages of the singer’s life.

‘Love you, miss you,’ replied the doting father to his superstar daughter’s heartfelt message in the comments.

At the Brit awards in 2019, Dukagjin was singled out by the host, Jack Whitehall, as ‘the best looking dad in the music industry.’

‘The silver fox over here, the best-looking dad in the music industry. I want to do a dad swap — can you take mine,’ the comedian said.

‘Look at Dukagjin! Can we get a camera on this guy?’ he continued.

Dukagjin is no stranger to the stage. The 52-year-old was once a popular Kosovar-Albanian rock star before moving to the UK in 1992.

And Dua told Hunger magazine in 2016 that her rock star father was one of her musical inspirations.

She revealed: ‘My father is a musician from Kosovo, so I’ve always grown up around music at home.

‘Whether that’s my dad’s own songs or Sting, David Bowie, Stereophonics.’

Dukagjin founded his own music festival in his native land, in a bid to change any lingering false perceptions of Kosovo as being war torn and unwelcoming.

The Sunny Hill festival, held in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, which declared independence from Serbia in 2008, had his daughter headline with support from rapper Action Bronson and tropical house duo Bondax.

‘We want to give people a sense of belonging, of European living and the idea that we are part of Europe,’ Dukagjin told the Observer ahead of its opening.

‘This is the greatest way to promote Kosovo as a peace-loving and music-loving country that welcomes all our neighbours and all visitors who want to have fun.’

Dua told The Sunday Times last March that she’d noticed the intrigue around her father and his looks.

‘Yes, I am aware of this. He finds it funny. We don’t really talk about it much,” she said.
