Footage surfaced of the raiders storming into the Birmingham City Centre store on Saturday at 3.15pm.

Customers watched in disbelief as half a dozen yobs clad in black burst into the shop in Corporation Street and started smashing up displays to get their hands on the new model iPhones worth more than £1,000.

Shoppers were flabbergasted by the robbers’ failed attempts to rip out the display cases which contained smart phones worth more than £6,000.

Gangs usually rip the display cases away from their bases and then run off with the phones still attached.
