Dustin Poirier is to auction off the fight-gear worn during his TKO victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 257.

The UFC star bagged the biggest victory of his career with the second-round win over his rival, earning revenge for a prior loss to McGregor at UFC 178 in 2014.

Despite the magnitude of the victory, Poirier has decided to stick to his tradition in recent years and auction off his kit on Ebay.

Bidding opened at $15,000 and closes on February 5, with the earnings set to help his non-profit, The Good Fight Foundation.

His foundation’s goal is to ‘help bridge the gap in academic success by providing transportation and tutoring’ in what is called ‘Project Learn’.

The collection of items up for sale includes his fight trunks, hand wraps, gloves, walkout shirt, hat and fight night pass credential.

In addition to proceedings from the auction, MMA Junkie have confirmed that Poirier also received a $500,000 donation from McGregor to go towards The Good Fight Foundation.

It’s stated that Poirier intends on using the money from McGregor to help build an MMA gym for struggling young people with membership fees covered in exchange for good conduct and commitment to their education. 

Poirier has claimed that he would be up for a trilogy fight with McGregor to settle the score once and for all, after his sensational UFC 257 victory.

The American has also talked up a potential bout with Nate Diaz who he has never previously though.

McGregor’s UFC future is up in the air though he has been given a six-month medical suspension following his defeat.
