Elizabeth Chambers’ son Ford falls from his bed and requires stitches

She’s been quarantining in the Cayman Islands with her two young children following her surprise separation from her husband Armie Hammer.

And Elizabeth Chambers had to deal with a medical emergency while away from after after her son Ford had an unexpected fall and cut his face.

The 38-year-old actress documented her trip to the emergency room with her three-year-old son on Tuesday.

Ouch! Elizabeth Chambers, 38, revealed her son Ford, three, had fallen out of his bed at night and cut his cheek on the night table on Tuesday while they were in the Cayman Islands

Elizabeth revealed Ford’s injury in an otherwise sweet closeup selfie of him cuddled up with her while wearing a large bandage on his cheek.

‘Tonight, in the most random turn of events, Ford rolled out of bed while he was sleeping and clipped his cheek on the bedside table,’ she began to explain.

‘After hours of crying (both of us), excessive bleeding (so much blood), Hops became sick bc she feels the way I do about blood,’ she continued, referring to her five-year-old daughter Harper.

She went on to thank her parents and family, who appeared to be staying in the Cayman Islands with her, and the doctor who recommended that Ford have stitches.

The Human Rights Foundation correspondent also appeared to throw in a dig at her soon-to-be ex-husband Armie in her final sentence: ‘So much love for the parents who do it alone.’

Elizabeth rounded out her posts on Ford’s injury with a text conversation with Dr. O’Doherty in which the doctor shared a photo of Ford’s cut.

The celebrity wife censored the photo when reposting it, but her friend was obviously shocked by how deeply he was cut.

‘It’s sooo deep. I was shocked. I was expecting a tiny thing,’ the doctor wrote.

Her family’s minor health crisis follow’s Elizabeth’s separation from her husband Armie in July, when they announced they were filing for divorce.

The family had been together in the Cayman Islands before Armie had returned to Los Angeles to work.

In an interview with British GQ from late last month, the Social Network actor said the couple’s focus was on keeping things as normal as possible for the two children.

‘Elizabeth and I are two adults making this decision and the priority is how do we do it in a way that affects our children the least? Or, at least, how do we help get them through this in a way that mitigates as much consternation or fear or damage on their part,’ he explained.

Still, he didn’t downplay the significance of the split, which he called a ‘seriously seismic event.’

‘There’s a lot of shifting and a lot of growing pains and a lot of changes,’ he said.
