Exeter’s showpiece Champions Cup game against Toulouse is in doubt after a suspected Covid outbreak.

Sportsmail understands that tournament organisers were locked in meetings on Wednesday afternoon amidst fears of an outbreak at the Chiefs.

The defending champions kicked off their title defence with a 42-0 thumping of Glasgow but they may now have to forfeit their game against Toulouse.

Any decision will be based upon the scale of the outbreak – EPCR and Exeter Chiefs were not available for comment
