As face masks become mandatory in many parts around the world amid the pandemic, fashionable social media users are giving the accessory a chic and practical makeover – with customised chains.
Stylish Instagram users are taking the accessories one step further, sharing snaps of the latest must-have accessory, which can be made from an old necklace or sunglasses chain – or even bought from small retailers online.
The idea behind these helpful accessories is to keep your face mask in place by attaching it to a chain and wearing the chain around your neck.
Some of the chains are subtle thin accessories which come in black or gold, while others are multi-coloured or adorned with with pearls, beads and diamantes.
The accessories range in price, from under £3 for a smaller, simpler chain – while more extravagant chains can cost as much as over £50.
