A beach house dubbed the ‘ultimate getaway’ off the coast of Bali is making waves with those keen to escape the daily grind and try a different pace of life.

The Villa Tanjung on Lembongan Island was designed by the Bali-based architects most famous for the Four Seasons in Bali, and it boasts 270 degree views of the surrounding seascapes.

The villa itself includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms, as well as an infinity pool that curves around the edge of the villa and the natural headland.

The dreamy beach house has been marketed at clients living in Western Australia looking for a sea change, with the guide price set around $3 million.

Speaking to FEMAIL, agent Jody Fewster said the property is ‘very, very special’. 

She highlighted the Balinese landscaped garden, the bamboo components of the space as well as its proximity to a beautiful and secluded beach as the most individual parts of Villa Tanjung. 

‘It’s luxury living in old style Bali,’ she said.

The villa recently won the Bali Architects award for best villa in Bali in the ‘Akomodasi Paraiwisata’ category.

This means that it was the best villa in the tourism category, and can be rented out – rather than just used as a private villa.

The previous family let out the property when they weren’t using it to travellers keen for a taste of luxury, with the full villa costing up to 11 guests $1,400 per night.

Villa Tanjung is among their most ambitious projects, thanks to its dramatic living/dining pavilion and use of grand spans of laminated bamboo along with natural bamboo components.
