FBI agent involved in shooting on Red Line metro train in Maryland

BREAKING: FBI agent is involved in shooting on a train at the Medical Center Metro Station in Maryland leaving one person hospitalized

An FBI agent was involved in a shooting on a train at the Medical Center Metro Station in Maryland, which resulted in one person being transported to a hospital Tuesday morning. 

According to an NBC, the incident occurred on a Red Line train near the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Metro Transit Police received a call about ‘an FBI agent-involved shooting’ just before 7am on board a Red Line train.

One person was transported to the hospital. The identity and condition of that person has not been released.

Following the incident, the Metro tweeted around 7.30am that there were delays on the Red Line ‘due to a police investigation at Medical Ctr’. 

Thirty minutes later, the Metro said that trains were still operating with delays on the Red Line as authorities continued their investigation.
