EXCLUSIVE: Ferne McCann, 29, has admitted her dating life has ‘fallen flat’ after ‘finding herself’ in lockdown, and despite a ‘few date offers’ she isn’t keen on finding romance on Zoom

Ferne told MailOnline she hasn’t been interested in trying to find a new man in lockdown, after revealing she’d split from her boyfriend Albie Gibbs in May.

The former TOWIE star said: ‘Lockdown would have been a great time to spark up some conversation, but being single – I’ve had this conversation with lots of my single friends – conversations with new love interests in lockdown last from two days to a week… and then it falls flat,

‘It’s a mutual understanding, there’s nothing you can talk about. For me, I didn’t have any Zoom dates or that. I like to be in front of someone to have that chemistry, the lookout for love hasn’t been a priority.

‘I’m on this whole like ”I’m 30 tomorrow, I’ve got a house to run, I’ve got my hair to wash,” I’m not looking for love, and when I put that out to the universe, and said ”it would be great I’d love to be chatting to a few guys right”… zilch! Nada!’

‘Now I’m like ”no no no” they’re coming to me, I’m not saying they’re flocking in, I’ve had a few date offers don’t get me wrong.

‘I want to get my 30th out of the way, I’ve got a busy couple of weeks. There’s no time, honestly it’s going to have to be someone really special to be like, life needs to stop so I can go on a date.’

The star admitted that during her time in lockdown she’s spent plenty of time focusing on her spirituality, and has had regular sessions with her therapist.

She added: ‘Lockdown overall in hindsight was a real positive experience for me. I know that obviously, like everyone I had my good points I had my low points and there were times I really really struggled, but overall there were so many positives.

‘I could really focus on a business that I neglected, spending more time with Sunday and my mum, cooking and being outside in nature, I have been able to meditate every day and write down my gratitudes and this is something that is really important to me.’

‘I’ve been doing lots of reading, I’m really into spiritual positive mindset and the power of the universe I’m so big into that, it’s more time spending with you.’

Ferne also told MailOnline that while she’s enjoyed being home with her daughter Sunday, two, during lockdown, it has been ‘intense’ at times.

She added: ‘It was fun at first, it was a lot of fun.And it was so nice to spend good quality time with her and the pace of life slowed down and to give her my full undivided attention was amazing.

‘Of course it was intense at times and she was going through her terrible twos so I made the wise decision of moving my mum in at the start of lockdown.

‘She’s moved back out now, Sunday’s gone back to nursery, she thrives when she’s around others and I think for children it’s important to have that stimulation from other children.’

‘It was a nice break from both of us no matter who you’re lying with whether it’s your two year old daughter to your boyfriend, relationships were tested.

‘So it definitely had its positives but I’m kind of glad that she’s going to nursery and getting that education and seeing other children is so important, for it to be just me and her is not normal.

‘It was nice but it’s nice we’re getting that normality and routine back as she thrives on that. ‘

‘She’s such a good girl and she makes me laugh so much everything she says, she’s been saying lately ”that’s a good idea.”

‘She’s obviously learning from the best, everything she says I think ”oh my god I say that.” She’s just funny she’s really funny she makes me laugh she has a great personality.’

Ferne has once again partnered with Always Discreet to present a series of workouts to help women exercise their pelvic floors.

The first workout is set to be released on her new Embodyment platform on Thursday 6th August, which also happens to be Ferne’s 30th birthday.

Having spoken candidly about her struggles with incontinence in the past, Ferne told MailOnline she’s been overwhelmed by the ‘groundbreaking’ response she’s had from fans.

She said: ‘Of course it was uncomfortable initially speaking about it and slightly embarrassing but now I’m at the stage where I’m like whatever, and honestly the response was groundbreaking

‘It was unbelievable the floods of messages, me personally I was receiving… I think where it is, it is an uncomfortable area.

‘Women don’t often put themselves first, and I think that’s really important to look after number one, not only with exercise but internally looking after down below, but also your mind, body and soul, when you start looking after number 1 and being kind to yourself, everything else just falls into place.

‘Relationships, work, cleanliness, just how you feel about yourself it’s so important.’

Admitting she’s found the opportunity to speak out about her incontinence ’empowering,’ she said: ‘You might feel uncomfortable about it at first, and then you might push yourself into a situation you might not feel confident in.

‘There’s definitely something empowering about that and I definitely feel confident about that now.’

On her upcoming Pelvic Power workouts, Ferne gushed: ‘It’s going to be lots of different exercises, simple fun, just to encourage women who might be experiencing bladder leaks, might not have had a child, just women of all ages to get involved, try something new and teach them how to do it.

‘My personal trainer, who I’ve been working with for five years Ellie, she was the first person I opened up to because that’s how I noticed experiencing these leaks through exercise.

‘I wasn’t able to do these exercises that I wanted to do, especially cardio things like that, I opened up to her about it and that’s when I went to see a women’s physio.

‘My physio and personal trainer teamed together to design these workouts you can do from home, but you can do them from anywhere.

‘It’s connecting the mind with that area, it’s really connecting the two and consciously squeezing your pelvic floor muscles.

‘For me turning 30 I want to do things that… if I can use my platform and talk about my personal experiences and help others I’m all for it.

‘I’ve been talking about bladder leaks, and vaginas for the best part of a year and a half. It’s really putting a spotlight on women’s health and I think that’s important to talk about.’
