Furious Woolworths customers spot MOUSE DROPPINGS next to gnawed instant noodle cups’ on the shelves

A number of irate Woolworths customers have expressed their disgust after mouse droppings were spotted on the shelf of a busy supermarket.

Shoppers at Sunshine Marketplace Woolworths, in Melbourne‘s west, vented on social media, with one customer also uploading a photo which shows an instant soup packet chewed on by a rodent.

Distinct bite marks and a large hole in the top of the packet made for damning evidence.

One regular shopper revealed rodents have been a problem at the grocery store for some time.

‘This is a regular occurrence, unfortunately,’ one shopper claimed.

Another said: ‘I went there last year to get some stuff..mice poo was all over the shelf and on the boxes of stuff I wanted to buy. 

‘I then told staff… who then informed me it must have happened overnight and staff did not see it, but this was about two (o’clock) in the afternoon.’

The products in question are Fantastic Noodles Beef flavour 85g and Chicken 70g variety packs.

Any customers who purchased these items at the Sunshine Market Place store on January 8 are being offered full refunds by the supermarket giant.

A Woolworths company spokesperson described the rodent development as ‘disappointing.’  

‘As soon as we became aware of the issue, we conducted a thorough clean of the affected aisle to return it to our usual high standards,’ they told 7News.

‘We also took the precautionary step of disposing all the stock in the affected aisle.

‘We engaged pest control services to inspect the store and will take the necessary action to ensure this doesn’t happen again.’
