Gabrielle Union flashes knockout legs in summer chic dress that has a high slit

Gabrielle Union showed her toned legs off as she stepped out in an elegant dress in New York City this Tuesday.

The actress, 48, went summer chic in a green, gold and white floral dress that featured a plunging neckline and a snappy collar.

There was also an opening in front that served as natural air conditioning on the hot July day. 

Accessorizing with a pair of purple shades and an off-white leather handbag, she complemented the dress with lime green sandals. 

Gabrielle, who is married to retired NBA star Dwyane Wade, could be seen smiling and waving as she headed into a car.

The 10 Things I Hate About You actress was sporting a new short hairdo she debuted on her Instagram page just three days prior.

She noted in her caption: ‘The movies always show women cutting their hair when all is lost but I wanted to know the feeling of making a change when things are gravy.’

Gabrielle revealed that the new cut ‘hits different and its foreign to me’ but added that she has been loving the look.

Shortly thereafter she also put her sensational summer body and sculpted abs on display whilst modeling lingerie from Harlem American.

‘No gluten, no dairy. Except when I eat gluten and dairy,’ she joked in the caption, tagging hairstylist Larry Sims and makeup artist Sam Fine. 

A few months ago she confessed she ‘hated everything about’ her hair when she was ‘younger’ and ‘wanted it to be anything but what it was.’

She explained to People: ‘I wasted so much of my youth in my twenties, thirties and certainly my teens wanting to be someone else. I was inundated with images and messages saying: “You’re just not as pretty as so-and-so.”‘

Gabrielle added: ‘The images that I saw on TV and in magazines and film reaffirmed what they were saying. That I wasn’t “it,” and people who look like me aren’t “it.” You couldn’t possibly have that “it factor” and have hair like mine or skin like mine.’

Said she: ‘In my early forties, I just emptied my basket of f***s and came out reborn and loving myself in a way that you only see on Oprah episodes when you’re like: “What the hell is my most authentic self? What does that even mean? I don’t even know who that girl is. I wouldn’t know her if I saw her.”‘
