Gavin Rossdale sports a face mask as he hits up a local park with his beloved pup Chewy

Gavin Rossdale recently admitted in an interview that he thinks it is ‘crazy that people don’t wear masks’ in public amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And the 54-year-old lead singer of Bush practiced what he preaches as he hung out at a park in Los Angeles with his dog Chewy on Friday afternoon. 

Rossdale kept the majority of his famous face hidden behind his mask and a pair of sunglasses as he ventured around with his leashed pup. 

He wore a unique graphic tee, a pair of distressed camouflage shorts, and some green lace-up shoes for his outing.

Rossdale’s lengthy quarantine hair was slicked back and curled up around his neck and ears.

Due to the hot temperatures in Los Angeles, Gavin removed his camo hat from his sweating head in an attempt to cool off.

His pup Chewy looked totally unbothered as he trotted around the spacious park with his tail in the air.

In an interview with Shroom from radio station 102.7 WEBN on Friday, Gavin was asked about his opinion on mandatory mask wearing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I think that it’s crazy that people don’t wear masks,’ began the musician, who admitted that he has a ‘very small’ quarantine crew that he goes mask-less around. 

‘But if I go anywhere publicly, I always wear a mask. I see people all the time not wearing masks. It’s amazing.’

Gavin suggested that if you are ‘outside in the park or running around’ without a mask on, ‘it just doesn’t show the right energy’ and makes you seem like a careless person.

‘It’s not the right attitude, because you’re saying, “I actually don’t care about you.” Cause even if you’ve had it, people get the wrong impression. 

‘When you wear a mask, you’re saying, “I care that you don’t get it as well and you don’t bring it to your family. And I hope you don’t give it to me. And we’re all on the same page,”” he concluded. 

Gavin was famously married to singer Stefani from 2002 to 2016, and they share sons Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, six, as well as Daisy Lowe, 31, from a previous relationship with Pearl Lowe.

The No Doubt singer, who is dating Blake Shelton, filed for divorce in August 2015 amid claims he cheated with their children’s nanny.  

In an interview with The Guardian this week, Gavin admitted he was deeply ashamed of the ‘gross and lopsided spectre of the crumbling of my marriage’.
