GoBoat‘ has brought its electric and eco-friendly picnic boats to the country, with guests in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra invited to bring their own platters and dine as they cruise along their nearest waterway.

In Sydney, the charming boats can be caught from Cabarita Point in Sydney’s west to enjoy a gentle cruise up the Parramatta River; in Melbourne they are on the Yarra River.

Each GoBoat can fit up to eight passengers, with shade and plenty of seating both available on-board.

Those who hire the boats can also ‘be their own captain’, as there is no licence required to hire or drive the boat.

The experience also allows you and your passengers to bring along your own Esky and picnic basket that can be packed with food and drinks for all.

As each boat holds up to eight people the boat ride does come down to quite an affordable experience equaling to $17 per head and $129 in total for an hour cruise

The boats themselves have been designed with Danish design and utilise recycled materials through it’s construction 

The picnic boats are also powered by an innovative zero emissions electric motor that has come direct from Germany.  

The boat features an array of innovative features and design elements including, a speed limited motor, tiller steering, safety equipment, bench seats, picnic tables and cup holders.

The company is also completely child-friendly and pet-friendly for an inclusive and fun ride the whole family will love. 

The boat ride is budget-friendly as it comes in at $17 per head and $129 in total for an hour cruise; they can be booked for up to five hours.
