The adorable tot seemed to follow in his engineer father’s footsteps with his choice of activity, as he intently gazed at drawings of the bubble space telescope.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, simply captioned the snap of her newborn with two pink hearts.

The Canadian musician has recently opened up about her approach to parenting, revealing that X Æ A-Xii has already shown his tastes and preferences.

She admitted that she has already watched the 1979 war film Apocalypse Now with her baby, saying that her son is ‘into radical art’.

‘I’ve watched Apocalypse Now and stuff with my baby,’ she told The New York Times. ‘He’s into radical art. Like, he just actually is, and I don’t think it’s problematic to engage with them on that level.’

She has also worked with an app called Endel to make an ‘A.I. Lullaby’ to help her son sleep better, gauging his reactions when he would ‘smile more’ with tweaks to the lullaby program.

‘The first version, there was too many sort of sharp bells, and it caused tears and just general chaos.’ she explained, noting that the finished version, which included her voice, is ‘a bit sparklier’ than her initial attempts.

‘I was basically personally just referencing ambient music I’ve heard, and then kind of trying to make it cuter.’

Grimes, who is changing her stage name to ‘C’ in regards to the speed of light, said she was looking to get away from the standard devices used to lull babies to sleep.

She continued: ‘When you have a baby, you’re always using white noise machines.

‘It’s much easier to get them to sleep if you train them on some kind of audio situation.

‘And so I was just like, could this be more artistic? … I think at some point, we will want to, as a species, have a discussion about how involved A.I. will be in art.’

She continued: ‘In general, stuff for babies is really just creatively bad. I don’t want your first introduction to the world to just be all this aimless crap.’

And the songstress said that she wasn’t ‘insulting babies’ or their intelligence, but rather the opposite.

‘I just feel like getting out of the like, ‘Here’s a zebra and a bear in, like, pastel color tones’ energy,’ she said. ‘That’s just one very small sort of creative lens that things can be looked at through.’

Grimes went on to note that babies ‘do have taste,’ and ‘definitely like some things’, ‘don’t like other things’ and ‘fully have opinions’.

She is raising her first child with her partner Elon, 49, who she first met back in 2018.

The Tesla CEO also shares five other children – twins Griffin and Xavier, both 16, and triplets Damian, Kai and Saxon, all 14 – with his ex-wife Justine Musk, 48.

Elon also married Talulah Riley in 2010, until the couple announced they were splitting up in 2012.

But the pair then remarried in 2013 and remained together until 2016, when they then parted ways for good.
