Chantelle and her husband Marcus, from Melbourne, decided that their kitchen was too dark and lightened it with a new splashback and complementing features.

The couple created a white and coastal aesthetic for $750, with two and half packs of tiles in the shade Kit Kat Matt and applied them with white Mapei grout.

The room now looks bigger and brighter than ever before with the tiles and colour scheme (after)

To transform the kitchen they hired a tiler to attach the new white tiles on top of the dark glass as it was too risky to completely remove the old splashback.

To complement the tiles the couple added a small olive tree to the the bench top, wooden decor pieces, a fruit bowl and utensil holder to the kitchen area.

The homeowners have revealed that the splashback tiles are incredibly easy to clean as they applied enduro shield on top and simply wipe any food mess away.
