Hugh Jackman braves the cold New York City weather as he steps out for a stroll in a winter coat

He was born and raised in Sydney, a city known for its picturesque beaches and sunny weather.

And Hugh Jackman looked like he was a long way from home on Thursday as he went for a stroll in freezing New York City.

The Wolverine star, 52, who has lived in the Big Apple with his wife, Deborra-lee Furness, and their children for years, trudged through thick snow in a black winter coat and beanie.

Hugh paired his a hooded coat with black trackpants, and held on to his phone as he navigated a pedestrian crossing in snow boots.

His beanie featured the logo of Hugh’s Laughing Man Foundation, a charity which supports coffee-farming communities and their families.

The Greatest Showman actor also wore a face mask to protect himself amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this month, Hugh shared a video on Instagram of himself walking through the streets of NYC during a snowstorm.

‘Hey everyone be careful out there in New York City, there’s a lot of snow and it’s pretty slippery,’ he began.

‘But for a kid from Australia, this is heaven! I love a snow day,’ he continued.
