‘That is my business, not yours’: Iggy Azalea hits back after fans accused her of flouting social distancing rules by getting a professional manicure at home

Iggy Azalea has hit back at fans who accused her of flouting lockdown rules during the coronavirus outbreak in Los Angeles.

The criticism began after the Australian-born rapper tweeted a photo of her fresh manicure on Thursday, after she’d invited a nail technician to come to her home.

The 29-year-old musician told her followers it was her ‘choice’ if she wanted to risk becoming ill by inviting other people into her home.

‘It’s my choice’: Iggy Azalea (pictured)  angrily hit  back at fans on Twitter on Thursday, who accused the rapper of flouting government-mandated social distancing rules after she had a nail technician in her home to get a manicure during the coronavirus outbreak

‘If I want to risk having a worker in my home that is my business, not yours,’ Iggy tweeted in response to a fan who pointed out the risks of not social distancing.

‘I haven’t left my house so if she did that’s my choice to stay here and be sick,’ she replied to another.

‘Also she’s a nail tech, masked and gloved. Relax. We weren’t tongue kissing I promise,’ she added.

Not taking it! Iggy was quick to tell fans it was her 'choice' if she wanted to have someone in her home and 'be sick' after she was slammed for revealing she'd had a manicure that day

But several fans were quick to tell the Fancy hitmaker she was ‘part of the problem’.

‘It’s everyone’s business sis. ILY [I love you] but come on now you’re part of the problem. People can carry it and not know it…’ one person tweeted.

Iggy’s tweets have since been deleted from her account.

Not cool! Fans were quick to let Iggy know she was 'part of the problem' for why the outbreak was spreading so quickly

Iggy, who was born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, lives in Los Angeles in California.

The state’s residents were issued a government-mandated order to stay at home and limit social interaction on March 19 to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Californians are required to stay at home unless they are getting food, caring for a relative or friend, seeking medical care or on their way to an essential job.

If people do go out, they are required to keep a minimum distance of two metres from others.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Iggy Azalea for comment.
