An Irish woman who vanished ten days ago while walking her German Shepherd in a New Hampshire national park has still not been found.

Sinead Lyons, 41, is missing with her dog Flossie.

Police in Massachusetts, where she lives, say she was last seen on March 11 driving to Ossipee in New Hampshire, where she was planning to take Flossie for a walk.

New Hampshire State Police found her car parked at a national park near Lake Ossipee on March 14, but there is still no sign of her.

Temperatures in the park have hovered around freezing at night there for the last week or so.

Sinead’s family say that she vanished on March 12 at around 12.30pm, after collecting Flossie from a ‘friend’ in Ossipee.

There are also questions over whether or not the friend is her boyfriend, who she is said to live with in Massachusetts.

Police have not named the boyfriend, nor have they indicated if they suspect any kind of foul play in Sinead’s disappearance.

The woman’s family have now traveled to the US from Ireland to help in the search for her, according to Facebook posts.

Sinead was last wearing a dress and had flowers in her hair when she vanished.

In a Facebook post on Monday, her sister Sandra wrote: ‘Sinéad left Lowell and traveled to collect Flossie from a friend in the NH area.

‘She was going to go for a walk with Flossie before heading back home to Lowell.

‘Her car was was found parked near Ossipee Lake NH. Sinéad & Flossie haven’t been seen since.’

Flossie is micro-chipped, which police hope may lead them to find the pair.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the New Hampshire State Police on 603 33 3333.
