‘It’s been an emotional journey’: Piers Morgan shares sweet throwback snaps of son Spencer as he marks his 27th birthday
He’s currently on crutches after suffering a tumble on the second day of his St Tropez holiday.
But Piers Morgan took a break from his respite to send his son Spencer a playful timeline birthday message through Instagram on Sunday.
The GMB presenter, 55, wrote: ‘Happy 27th Birthday @spencermorgan – it’s been an emotional journey for your shades & hair…. just a shame you forgot not to smile in the top pic.’

Piers’ affectionate message captioned a timeline montage of his son, beginning with a holiday snap of the pair arm in arm at the beach in front of an orange sports car.
An adolescent Spencer looked like a miniature version of his Dad, garbed in a matching striped polo shirt, khaki shorts and sunglasses.
The birthday collage continued with a throwback beach picture of pre-teen Spencer scowling at the camera while his two brothers Albert and Stanley grinned widely.
Piers finished the picture medley with a recent picture of the pair in close up, with a bearded Spencer keeping his sunglasses firmly on.

The Good Morning Britain host’s heartfelt message attracted a string of comments from his celebrity cohorts including footballer Vinnie Jones and presenter Lizzie Cundy.
Former sport star Vinnie, 55, wrote a cheery ‘Happy birthday Spencer!’, while model Lizzie, 52, commented ‘Happiest of birthdays to your boy!’
Spencer has followed in his father’s journalistic footsteps and is the first of Piers’ three sons from his first marriage to nurse Marion Shalloe.

Piers also has an eight-year-old daughter Elise Morgan who he shares with his journalist wife Celia Walden.
The broadcaster’s recent injury has come at the worst possible time as he booked the summer off his hosting duties on Good Morning Britain to enjoy the South of France.
However, being hobbles doesn’t seem to have dampened Piers’ spirits as he enjoyed a star studded lunch with Britain’s Got Talent host Amanda Holden on Friday.
