Jake Paul calls out Canelo Alvarez after watching his brother go eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather

‘You can’t sell PPVs… I would eat you alive’: Jake Paul calls out Canelo Alvarez on Twitter after watching his brother go the full eight rounds with Floyd Mayweather in exhibition bout… as YouTube stars continue to take the world of boxing by storm

YouTube star Jake Paul sensationally challenged Canelo Alvarez to a fight on Twitter just moments after watching his brother go the distance against Floyd Mayweather.

Logan Paul was a huge underdog heading into the bout against 50-0 boxing legend Mayweather, but despite being dominated for eight rounds, he avoided being knocked out and the contest ended with no decision.

And taking to Twitter immediately after the fight, Logan’s brother Jake appears keen to continue YouTube’s takeover of boxing by challenging Alvarez to a fight.

A fight against a current champion in the form of Alvarez seems far more unlikely than an exhibition bout against a retired Mayweather, but the Paul brothers have certainly taken boxing by storm over the past year.

Logan Paul went the distance with Mayweather on Sunday night but there was no decision due to the absence of judges at ringside inside the Hard Rock Stadium.

That said, Jake was confident that his brother was the victor, tweeting ’50-1. HOLY F*** MY BROTHER JUST BEAT FLOYD MAYWEATHER.’

Speaking after the bout, Mayweather did admit he was ‘surprised’ by the talent of his opponent Paul, admitting that he may not fight in any more exhibition bouts.

Canelo, meanwhile, is fresh from his victory over Billy Joe Saunders in Texas, which took his own record to 56-1 – his only defeat coming against Mayweather back in 2013.
