James Middleton and fiancée Alizée Thevenet continue adventures in Scotland

While England remains in lockdown, James Middleton has managed to escape the gloom on a getaway to the Scottish Highlands with his glamorous French fiancée.

The Duchess of Cambridge‘s brother, 33, who is usually based in London, shared a snap of the couple taking a Sunday stroll with one of his beloved dogs, describing his companions for the outing as ‘his favourites’ on Instagram.

Snaps show the happy couple looking co-ordinated in netural outdoor gear, while Alizée topped off her look with a peaked cap.

‘Sunday Adventures in the wild with my favourites,’ James captioned the post.

Last week, the entrepreneur and mental health campaigner took to Instagram to shared a selection of scenic pictures of Alizée paddleboarding.

Alongside a clip of Alizée taking to the water, he penned: ‘I had tingles not from the cold but from how beautiful it was. Yes, this is Scotland in November!

‘It’s crazy how peaceful the planet can be but at the same time how crazy it can be – make sure you take some out for you (and your dogs). Go outside, open a window, walk, breathe, meditate, or even make a good old cup of tea!’

In the short clip, Alizée can be seen donning a grey wet suit and gloves as she paddles herself and two of their dogs across the picturesque lake.

Dog lover James opted to accompany the clip with a peaceful soundtrack, while keeping himself out of camera view.

And followers were quick to gush about the ‘beautiful’ scenery and thanked James for sharing, with one commenting: ‘This looks absolutely stunning’

Another added: ‘Oh wow, looks amazing! Hope you’re well!!’

James didn’t give exact details for where in the Scottish Highlands they went paddleboarding, but tagged The Glen Affric Estate and Masterpiece Estates in his post.

The avid animal lover who at one time worked as a host at Scottish hotel Glen Affric Lodge – owned by the family of his brother-in-law James Matthews – near Loch Ness, had previously kept his Instagram account relatively quiet.

However, the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge has gained a large following in recent years by sharing his quietly wholesome life with his many dogs.

At the beginning of autumn James racked up over 10,000 likes on a post of Alizée walking their dogs in a bikini and £115 black Hunter boots.

He joked about September being unusually warm, as soon as everyone starts preparing for the change in season, captioning the post: ‘When you think it’s nearly autumn, but September throws you a heatwave’

The couple had originally planned to get married in May but pushed back to a later date in summer, they are now expected to share nuptials next year.
